Crude peanut oil can come from mechanical pressing or solvent extraction. For upstream processing, we also provides a peanut oil press and a peanut oil solvent extraction plant. Available refining configurations include batch and continuous systems, with equipment selection tailored to individual production requirements.

Peanut Oil Refining Process

The refining process depends on the type of peanut oil being produced. Aromatic peanut oil requires a different treatment route from fully refined peanut oil.

1. Aromatic Peanut Oil Refining

For aromatic peanut oil, the refining process focuses on removing impurities while retaining the characteristic roasted peanut flavor.

Typical process:

Oil Settling or Filtration → Appropriate Degumming or Clarification → Fine Filtration

Depending on crude oil quality and finished product requirements, cold filtration or other mild treatment methods can be selected. Intensive deacidification, bleaching, and high-temperature deodorization are generally avoided when preserving the natural aroma and color is a priority.

2. Fully Refined Peanut Oil

For fully refined peanut oil, a more complete refining process is required to remove phospholipids, free fatty acids, pigments, and odor-causing substances.

Typical process:

Crude Oil Filtration → Degumming → Deacidification → Bleaching → Deodorization → Final Filtration

Deacidification can use chemical neutralization or physical distillation, depending on crude oil quality and process design. The appropriate route is determined by factors such as free fatty acid content, phosphorus level, and finished oil specifications.
