QIE GROUP completed an integrated palm oil processing project combining a 3 TPH fresh fruit bunch (FFB) pressing line with a 10 TPD batch refining system.

The configuration connects palm fruit preparation, mechanical pressing, crude oil treatment, and batch refining within one processing facility. The plant has been completed and is in operation.

Processing Solution

The process configuration connects palm fruit preparation, mechanical oil extraction, crude oil treatment and batch refining.

Process flow:
FFB Reception → Sterilization → Threshing → Digestion → Twin-Screw Pressing → CPO Clarification and Vacuum Drying → Degumming → Deacidification → Bleaching → Deodorization → Refined Palm Oil

The pressing section extracts crude palm oil from prepared palm fruit. After clarification and vacuum drying, the CPO is fed into the 10 TPD batch refining system. The refining stages include degumming, deacidification, bleaching and deodorization to remove gums, reduce free fatty acids, remove pigments and improve the oil’s odor and quality.

Main Equipment and Systems

The project integrates the following equipment and supporting systems:

• Fruit preparation: Palm fruit sterilizer, thresher, and digester.

• Oil extraction: Twin-screw palm fruit pressing machine.

• Crude oil treatment: Clarification tank and vacuum drying system.

• Batch refining: Equipment for degumming, deacidification, bleaching, and deodorization.

• Material handling: Residue cooling and conveying system.

• Utilities and storage: Steam and heat supply systems, crude oil storage tank, and refined oil storage tank.

• Process control: Automated control system.

These systems connect the main pressing and refining stages, supporting the processing route from fresh palm fruit bunches to refined palm oil.
